Fires consume hundreds of hectares in hours, incinerating miles of fencing and forcing emergency cattle confinement with high nutritional costs and animal weight loss.

Loss of pasture, livestock, and fencing

With tighter federal and state sanctions against rural burns, environmental fines range from R$ 3,000 to R$ 10,000 per hectare, alongside immediate property embargo risks.

Fines up to R$ 10,000 per hectare

Spotting smoke too late turns a minor ignition into an expensive and high-risk operation for the crew, mobilizing brigades after the damage is already done.

Delayed firefighting and high response costs

In rural operations, fire destroys more than pastures: it ruins physical infrastructure, halts production cycles, and triggers immediate regulatory liabilities.

Why fire is a critical threat to agribusiness

Wildfire protection for pastures, livestock, and crops. AI-powered detection from 3 seconds, integrated pre-, during-, and post-fire management, and forensic audit reports against fines.

Our technical team conducts a territorial diagnosis of your property and designs the ideal monitoring plan for your farm or group.

Protect your livestock, pastures, and production before the dry season

Pastures, livestock, machinery, and legal reserves: PANTERA detects smoke in as little as 3 seconds to suppress fire outbreaks before spreading and protect your operation from heavy regulatory fines.

Wildfire detection and monitoring for agribusiness

When a wildfire hits a farm, landowners are often unjustly fined. PANTERA monitors 24/7 with artificial intelligence, recording accurate GPS coordinates and exact ignition timestamps. We generate auditable technical reports proving if the fire started from highway corridors or neighboring lands, shielding your business against wrongful fines and embargos.

Auditable forensic reports: prove fire did not originate on your land

A complete intelligence, monitoring, and decision-making platform for wildfire management in agribusiness.

The complete solution for agribusiness

Wildfire detection and monitoring for agribusiness — PANTERA | umgrauemeio

The PANTERA system detects wildfires in under 3 minutes, safeguarding operations and ensuring ESG compliance.

The technology protecting your biological assets.

Lost sugar (ATR) from forced early harvest and deterioration of burned cane, lower industrial efficiency, and replanting of sprouting gaps.

Current harvest

Penalty for burning in agricultural land. On its own, it often exceeds the entire operational loss of the harvest.

Environmental fine

Burned ratoon loses vigor: a 3% to 6% productivity drop in the following cuts, brought to present value.

Future harvests

In the cane field, fire charges the bill in three stages

Fire in dry straw destroys ratoon, harvest, and triggers fines. See how mills cut burned area by up to 90% with PANTERA — and the ROI of prevention in sugarcane.

24/7 monitoring with a human control center — for cooperatives, mid-sized groups, and independent producers.

That number is the starting point. Our specialists calculate the ROI of prevention for your area with you.

How much did the last uncontrolled fire cost your operation?

In 2024, over 414,000 hectares of sugarcane were destroyed in Brazil's Center-South — R$ 2.67 billion in losses and an estimated 15% drop in harvest.

Fire in the straw doesn't just burn the harvest. It burns the ratoon, the fine, and the next cuts.

For properties above 290 hectares, 24/7 monitoring became a legal obligation. The record of every PANTERA alert and action is the proof of diligence that can reduce or exclude the mill's liability in a penalty.

Since 2025, monitoring is not optional. It's the law.

Complete platform for large mills and integrated groups with their own operational team.

A model where the investor funds protection and the NGO or indigenous land operates. The payer doesn't have to be the user — this model enables conservation projects at scale that would otherwise have no protection budget.

The VCS/Verra standard requires permanence of 30 to 100 years. A fire hitting the core area violates that commitment and can invalidate already-issued credits — with no right to partial reissuance.

Permanence compromised

Re-verifying the area, revising the carbon inventory, and drawing from the buffer pool consumes time, money, and credibility with verifiers. When possible, the cost is high. When it isn't, the project ends.

Re-verification and buffer cost

ESG funds and corporate credit buyers won't tolerate unmanaged permanence risk. A fire without fast, documented response shuts the door on the next investment round — and future projects.

Investor trust at risk

A fire in a carbon area doesn't destroy timber. It destroys the project.

Protection that sustains the project's permanence

A fire in a carbon area doesn't just destroy the forest — it destroys permanence and invalidates the entire project. See how PANTERA protects REDD+ and VCS projects in Brazil.

Talk to our ESG project team and find the right model — Pantera, Abrace, or both — for your area.

Is your carbon project protected against fire?

A REDD+ or VCS project takes years to certify. Without guaranteed permanence, a single fire erases everything — and no carbon fund restarts a compromised project.

Fire doesn't just burn the forest. It burns carbon permanence and invalidates the entire project.

COMIF Resolution 2025 applies to permanent preservation and conservation areas — not just agriculture. PANTERA's systematic alert and action records are the diligence evidence needed for permanence reports and regulatory defense.

Conservation areas above 290 ha have a legal obligation to monitor.

24/7 monitoring platform for REDD+, VCS, and similar projects. Instant detection and auditable records of every alert — the permanence documentation verifiers and funds demand.

Concessionaires are legally responsible for fires occurring on the right-of-way corridors they operate. Liability does not end at the pavement.

Liability over the corridor

Fires on road, rail and power line corridors generate regulatory fines and can shut down operations for days — with direct impact on revenue and contractual obligations.

Fines and operational shutdown

COMIF legislation formalizes the obligation to continuously monitor right-of-way corridors and requires annual PMIF and PPCIF submissions for concessions.

Mandatory continuous monitoring

Fires on right-of-way corridors are not just an operational risk — they are a legal and financial risk.

Why fire is a problem for concessions

Road, rail and power line concessionaires have a legal obligation to monitor their right-of-way corridors. PANTERA delivers continuous monitoring and COMIF-compliant documentation.

Our specialists map your right-of-way corridor and propose a monitoring plan tailored to your operation.

Protect your concession before the next inspection

Roads, railways and power lines are legally responsible for their right-of-way corridors — PANTERA delivers continuous monitoring and regulatory documentation.
